Went to USS on 11 July 2015 with my best buds. Got a little complain from my god parents as I have been visiting Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) a little too much lately. I admit that I am visiting there a little too much, 4 Saturdays in 6 weeks! Well, I bought annual pass to Sentosa, Adventure Cove and Universal Studios Singapore (USS) so I might as well make full use of them. They certainly do not come cheap. But being a girl who simply love theme parks, it definitely worth it.
Since all 3 of us have annual pass, we could have afforded to turn up late. We went in about 11ish. It was quite packed already. The first ride I took was Battlestar Galatica, blue ride, we queued for 2 hrs like OMG! But it was a good catch up between me and Pamela. Janice joined us later :).

Okay bitch time, you can skip this if you want; it is just a rant, just read 2 paragraphs down (after the photo). First and foremost I am not racist. I do have friends from other races and stuff. But it is just unfortunate that I had to face this both times when I visited USS, and it has made me judgmental at the moment of heat. The first visit slightly a month ago, when I went to USS it didn’t help when the China guy in front of us kept getting out of queue and entering back, often bumping and shoving into us in the process. Then came this group of Indian old ladies (define as old as some of them had greying hair), came cutting queue all the way from the start to the end. They just said our family and friend in front and shove their way all the way to the front of the line. We waited for 3 hours in queue, this isn’t fair. Best part when they reach their “family and friends”, their “family and friends” just looked puzzled that screamed, “who the hell are you, I don’t know you”. This made the group of us who diligently queued super pissed off. If by definition “family and friends” = to same skin colour, then well, we also can cut as there are like so many Singaporeans/Chinese in front as well.
On this day, a pair of Indians (maybe, not too sure) stepped out of queue and came back in eventually, and we allowed them as they were queuing before us anyways. But then they asked their new friend to join in which we closed an eye and soon more joined until they rapidly became 8 of them. This is too much if one or two it is fine, we can let it be but 6 additional would mean one whole set of ride is gone. I got a little mad and started voicing myself saying that this is too much (I know it is a bit dumb to be passive aggressive but I didn’t want to totally ruin my mood). They did sense that I am angry and I purposely talked very loudly so that people near me would know. Some other riders in queue agreed with me, they had thought initially that they had gone to the washroom and came back or something. If this wasn’t enough, they wanted to get more of their friends to join and cut the queue. I outright just glared. At least the lady had decency to decline. Whenever they want to recruit more people to their group I will express my displeasure to stop them. Then to make things worse, an Indian guy tried to cut a Taiwanese Lady and her daughter who have all along queued behind us. He was edging his was to push them away from their position. I used my body to block his path and ask them to move closer to us in queue. And I had to actually do this multiple times! I mean like come on! Any ways there wasn’t any more queue-cutting after that which was like THANK GOD!

We had fun taking only 3 rides on that day only, because the queues are really insanely long. Totally considering getting express pass next time. The blue ride was really fun, and it just spins you everywhere lols! I wouldn’t say that it is scary as I sat worse, but nonetheless given the limited options, it is one of the best in Singapore. Was it worth the 2 hrs plus wait? Nope! Not at all, especially when you don’t have annual pass. If you don’t go in often, I will advise to just go get the express pass, it will really enhance the experience as you will be able to skip the insane queue. And also spare yourself from possible irresponsible riders.
Jurassic Rapid ride was also really fun and one of my favourites. I didn’t mind getting wet and all, but the thing is I NEVER get wet for some reason. I really had a good time with my friends despite just taking 3 rides that day. We must have gotten old and tire easily, and we didn’t really want to queue again.
Hence we left the park early and went to eat at Japanese Town which is like by Ajisen. Had fun talking over dinner and shopping after! Missed having fun and chilling with my friends, although technically I see them almost every two weeks.
I had spent more time and rides when I was there with Jovi and Janice the first time round. But I really enjoyed my time and hope we will go out soon enough!
